Day 1: Arrive Chennai
on arrival at Chennai Airport, our representative will escort and assist you to hotel check-in. Night spent in Chennai. Chennai is famous for tall buildings and temples. Chennai city also adorns many beaches which are very well maintained by the governing bodies. As will as features many world famous religious destinations.
Day 2: Chennai
Leave for local Chennai sight-seeing in the morning after breakfast at hotel. Chennai is the fourth largest city of India divided by River Cooum in two parts. The city features many tall buildings which add to its charm and magnificence. Later the day, will visit to Fort St. George which surrounds cannon proof walls. St. George fort features St. Thomas Mount, San Thome Cathedral, National Art Gallery and Kapaleeswar Temple. Night spent in Chennai.
Day 3: Chennai - Kanchipuram - Mahabalipuram
Early morning leave for Kanchipuram. It is a 76Km drive which takes around 2 hours. Kanchipuram features many temples and is known as Golden City. It is regarded as one of the oldest town in India. Kanchipuram is world famous for its Silk sarees. Kanchipuram is devoted to both Lord Shiva and Lord Vishnu and is considered one of the seven most sacred cities in India. Kanchipuram flaunts many sacred temples including Kailasnath Temple, Ekambareshwar Temple, Kamakshi Temple and Vaikunthaperumal temple. These temples were constructed in 7th and 8th century. Leave for Mahabalipuram in the afternoon which is a 65 Km drive away from Kanchipuram and consumes about one and half hour. On arrival check in hotel and night spent in Mahabalipuram.
Day 4: Mahabalipuram - Pondicherry
Mahabalipuram is peaceful and small town located on the shores of sea. Mahabalipuram features a beautifully constructed Shore Temple, magnificent Beach view with many splendid rock-cut temples. Mahabalipuram was regarded as workshop for constructing temple. The world known ‘Shore temple’ is brilliantly constructed in Seven Pagoda style. The temple is carved on the rock in the form of seven Rathas or temple chariots and monuments with animal figures. It is one of the oldest forms of Dravadian Architecture. Later in the afternoon drive to Pondicherry. Pondicherry is about 132 Kms drive away from Mahabalipuram and consumes four hours. On Arrival check-in hotel. Night spent in Pondicherry.
Day 5: Pondicherry - Thanjavur
After breakfast at the hotel, leave for local sight-seeing in Pondicherry including Vardaraja Perumal Temple, Manakula Vinayagar and Vedapureeswarar Temple. Later the day drive to Thanjavur which is about 177 Km from Pondicherry and consumes 6 hours. On arrival check-in hotel, night spent in Thanjavur.
Day 6: Thanjavur - Thiruchirapalli
Early morning leave for sight-seeing in Thanjavur. There are many famous temples in Thanjavur including Brahadeshwara Temple. Later in the afternoon drive to Thiruchirapalli which is 55 Km from Thanjavur. It is one and half hour journey by road. On arrival check-in hotel, night spent in Thiruchirapalli.
Day 7: Thiruchirapalli - Madurai
Early morning leave for sight-seeing in Thiruchirapalli. It includes visit to the famous Ranganathan Temple at Srirangam. Later in the afternoon drive to Madurai. It is 142 Km from Thiruchirapalli and takes about 5 hours by road. On arrival check-in hotel, night spent in Madurai.
Day 8: Madurai - Chennai (Departure)
Early morning leave for sight-seeing in Madurai, this includes visit to famous Meenakshi Sundareswara Temple, Tirumalai Nayak Palace and Vandiyur Mariamman Tank. Later in the afternoon, board flight to Chennai. On arrival at Chennai proceed to further destinations.
